Mythologist, StoryTeller, and Kontomble Diviner
Reda
Rackley has her Master's degree in Mythology with a focus on Depth
Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute.
She has been studing Dagara spirituality and divination with Malidoma
Somé, elder, shaman, and diviner of the Dagara tribe of Burkina
Faso, West Africa since 1999.
In 2001, Reda made a pilgrimage to Burkina Faso, Africa to experience
intensive shamanic work with the Dagara tribe. She studied with
the diviners, shamans and gatekeepers.
One of the most extraordinary events that occurred was receiving
a divination by the village diviner. This oracular reading revealed
she would be called into service by ancient beings of the Other
World to deliver important spiritual messages to this world by becoming
a diviner herself.
In January of 2003, Reda made her most recent
journey to Burkina Faso and spent 15 days in intense shamanic
initiation. Since her return, she now speaks the ancient tongue
of the old ancient beings called Kontomble.
Reda now travels the world offering these readings to the special
people that cross her path. When one receives a divination from
Reda, she becomes a portal, a gateway for the Other World beings
to speak through. The ancient ones begin to reveal their messages
through the stones, the bones, the shells and other unique objects
found on her divining cloth and through the channelled voice of Kontomble.
Reda also conducts women's rituals.
